Eurekahedge announces today the launch of five private equity databases, covering close to 2,500 funds. The full suite includes the Eurekahedge North American Private Equity Fund Database, the Eurekahedge European Private Equity Fund Database, the Eurekahedge Asia and Japan Private Equity Fund Database, the Eurekahedge Middle East Private Equity Fund Database and the Eurekahedge Latin American Private Equity Fund Database. These databases are the first full suite of regional private equity resources to be offered to investors in, and service providers to, this industry. Each database will contain detailed information at the fund level based on the location of the fund or its geographical investment mandate.

Alexander Mearns, Managing Director of Eurekahedge, said, "We have had substantial demand from our investor client base to develop a product of this calibre and can now supply a whole new range of alternative data. We anticipate covering another 2,000 individual private equity funds soon, bringing the total to 4,500 by year end."

Information on individual funds in the databases and directories will include detailed information on the background of the fund managers, strategy of the fund, geographical focus, investment strategy, types of financing provided, full contact details (including telephone numbers and emails of the managers), underlying investments and IRR. In addition to private equity and venture capital funds, the database also covers funds of private equity funds and private real estate funds.
